Location: Remote
Time requirements: Approx. 8 hours/week (potentially more/less during certain periods)
Term: one year, ideally starting in April 2026 (potentially renewable)
Compensation: $8000 total, to be paid in equal installments on the 1st of each month
Overview: Part-time contracted work for a nonprofit classical music organization

As the Development Associate, you will:

  • Serve as an ambassador for New Muses Project’s advancement endeavors, acting as a primary point of contact for donors;
  • Research and apply for grants and funding sources to meet budget requirements;
  • Manage donor solicitations and internal funding database;
  • Prepare timely, confidential, and donor-centric communications;
  • Work alongside the Treasurer to develop long-term financial budgets that prioritze security and sustainability;
  • Fundraise for additional specific projects and collaborations as assigned;
  • Assist the organization with administrative and/or logistical needs as assigned.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in professional nonprofit development work, with preference given to fundraising and grantwriting experience;
  • A passion for advocacy and commitment to tackling social justice issues;
  • Excellent writing ability and creative/critical thinking skills;
  • Commitment and accountability for work completed and ability to effect change;
  • Self-starter, goal oriented, attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible to meet adjusted goals and timelines.

The following is also helpful:

  • General understanding of the field of western classical music and/or experience with classical music performance.

Overview: Part-time contracted work for a nonprofit classical music organization

As the Software Engineer, you will:

  • Work with a team to design client-side and server-side architecture for the New Muses Project website;
  • Build the front-end of the website following UI/UX specifications;
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
  • Experience with React, Remix, HTML/CSS, Javascript;
  • Experience with Python, PostgresSQL;
  • Self-starter, goal oriented, attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible to meet adjusted goals and timelines.

The following is also helpful:

  • General understanding of the field of western classical music and/or experience with classical music performance.
